Senior Technical Program Manager

TL;DR

Senior Technical Program Manager (Technical Systems/Generative AI): Leading the development and implementation of technical systems, architecture, governance processes, and data-driven dashboards with an accent on requirements definition, testing, and cross-functional delivery. Focus on building technical governance from scratch, coordinating multiple projects, and creating POCs, dashboards, skills, and agents with generative AI tooling.

Location: Austin, Texas, US; hybrid with at least 3 days per week in the office. Travel is required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $152,200–$243,700 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Oversee requirements, functional specifications, database design, and technical architecture.
• Lead and coordinate unit testing, systems testing, and development activities.
• Manage multiple technical projects, including estimation, planning, resource allocation, budgets, timelines, and quality.
• Build governance processes from scratch and continuously improve their implementation.
• Define KPIs, build dashboards, analyze trends, and use data to guide decisions.
• Build POCs, dashboards, skills, and agents using generative AI tools.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 5+ years with an advanced degree, or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Experience developing and implementing technical systems, including requirements, functional specifications, databases, and architecture.
• Experience with unit and systems testing, development, project estimation, and progress monitoring.
• Strong project management and technical leadership across multiple projects.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, product, client-facing, and executive stakeholders.
• Ability to work from the Austin office at least 3 days per week.
