What you will do
- Own the health, readiness, documentation, inventory, and preventative maintenance of office AV rooms and event spaces.
- Triage AV support requests, isolate faults in signal chains, resolve incidents, and escalate recurring issues to AV Engineering.
- Provide technical coverage for executive presentations, team meetings, all-hands, hybrid events, and company-wide broadcasts.
- Operate audio consoles, video switchers, cameras, playback systems, and streaming encoders while planning rehearsals and failover coverage.
- Direct AV integrators, contractors, and event labor, ensuring delivery against scope, SLAs, and quality standards.
- Partner with Workplace, Events, IT, and AV Engineering to improve standards, runbooks, room designs, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV operations, workplace technology, or technical event support.
- Experience owning a standing estate of rooms and stakeholders with ongoing accountability for performance.
- Working fluency across room systems, event audio, video, cameras, and streaming, with the ability to diagnose technical problems.
- Ability to prioritize independently across maintenance, support, and live events, including work as the sole AV specialist in a building.
- Strong documentation, troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and end-to-end ownership skills.
- Bachelorβs degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Q-SYS, Logitech CollabOS and Sync, Google Meet hardware, Zoom Rooms, or enterprise room administration.
- Experience with Blackmagic ATEM, Ross Carbonite, NewTek TriCaster, Yamaha DM7 or CL/QL consoles, Shure wireless systems, and PTZ cameras.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira, AV on-call rotations, contractor coordination, or distributed room fleets.
- CTS certification or equivalent demonstrated capability.
