Developer Relations (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY; hybrid policy requires staff to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time

Annual salary: $290,000–$435,000 USD

What you will do

• Shape developer discovery, engagement, and adoption of Claude Code, Claude Tag, and future developer products.
• Build measurement frameworks for developer success and prioritize community and content initiatives using data and feedback.
• Create technical content including sample applications, tutorials, documentation, integration guides, and best practices.
• Lead developer events, workshops, and community activities for individual developers, partners, customers, and enterprise engineering teams.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Research, Sales, Marketing, and Communications to turn developer feedback into product and content initiatives.
• Promote responsible, safe, and secure use of AI among developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in developer relations, developer experience, or technical product or engineering roles.
• Track record of shipping content or tools that measurably grew a developer ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML and API concepts, with the ability to explain complex topics to technical audiences.
• Hands-on ability to write production-quality code demos and review developer samples.
• Collaborative communication skills and the ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with large language models or generative AI.
• Background in AI safety, ethics, or responsible AI development.
• Public speaking at industry conferences and events.
• Technical writing or video tutorial experience.
