Developer Advocate (AI/API)

Location: Seattle; hybrid working environment or remote-friendly option; regular travel to conferences, meetups, hackathons, webinars, and developer communities

AI video platform for business that provides API and platform capabilities for embedding AI video into training pipelines, localization workflows, and customer-facing applications.

What you will do

• Write blog posts, tutorials, how-to guides, video walkthroughs, livestreams, sample apps, starter kits, and code snippets demonstrating real API integrations.
• Represent the platform at conferences, meetups, hackathons, webinars, workshops, livestreams, and community AMAs.
• Build and maintain integrations, debug alongside developers, and serve as a credible technical voice for the API.
• Channel developer feedback, friction points, and feature requests to Product and Engineering, and identify documentation and support improvements.
• Grow Discord/Slack communities, newsletters, social channels, developer advocates, and early power-user programs.
• Measure content engagement, API sign-ups, community growth, and sentiment, then adjust the developer advocacy playbook.

Requirements

• Experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, technical evangelism, or a similar hybrid technical and communication role, ideally at a platform, API-first, or infrastructure company.
• Hands-on experience writing code, working with APIs and SDKs, and building demo applications.
• Strong written, live, and on-stage communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to developers.
• Comfort with regular travel and public speaking, including meeting developers in person.
• A sustained track record of producing blog, video, or community content rather than one-off campaigns.
• Ability to listen to developer frustrations and turn them into clear, actionable product signals.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving, still-forming function.

• Existing following or credibility in a developer community relevant to video, AI/ML, automation, or enterprise software.
