Senior DevOps Specialist (Web3)

Location: Hybrid role based in Somerville, Massachusetts, with flexibility to work from home as needed. Remote work from eligible locations is available for up to two months per year.

Salary: $165,000–$195,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, operate, and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment tooling.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, and incident response practices to improve platform reliability.
• Embed security and compliance controls for CJIS, CMMC, and SOC 2 into automated infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Partner with engineering leadership, Client Delivery Leads, and product teams to prioritize infrastructure work and plan resources.
• Identify and implement AI tools and agents for automated remediation, log anomaly detection, infrastructure-as-code generation and review, and compliance evidence collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering in a high-growth technical environment.
• Deep knowledge of Unix/Linux infrastructure, DNS, storage systems, firewalls, TCP/UDP/IP behavior, and application data flows.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, system logs, Kibana, Grafana, AWS, Python, and shell scripting.
• Experience managing network infrastructure, security controls, OS/container hardening, and compliance frameworks such as CJIS, CMMC, and SOC 2.
• Ability to manage priorities independently, anticipate dependencies, and communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Blockchain node deployment, including Ethereum miner configuration.
• Application orchestration and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
• Managing IoT devices in operational technology systems.
