TL;DR
Associate Principal - Telecom (Telecom/ICT): Leading small- to mid-scale, multi-discipline telecom and low-voltage engineering projects from programming through closeout with an accent on coordinated design, documentation, and constructability. Location: Remote within the United States, with approximately 25% of work at client sites and occasional travel for meetings, surveys, inspections, or construction-phase coordination. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $125,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do
- Lead telecom discipline work on small- to large-scale, multi-discipline projects from programming through closeout.
- Prepare and review layouts, calculations, specifications, markups, decision logs, and other technical deliverables.
- Coordinate with Project Leads, Group Leads, senior engineers, clients, and design partners on scope, sequencing, requirements, and risks.
- Lead design reviews, resolve discipline conflicts, and maintain alignment with engineering intent, schedules, budgets, and standards.
- Mentor Designers and engineers through technical guidance, reviews, markups, feedback, and project-based coaching.
- Improve standards, workflows, templates, and tools through documented lessons learned and targeted GitHub Pull Requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in AEC or related professional services, with demonstrated capability in Telecom/ICT, structured cabling, or low voltage.
- Experience delivering accurate, coordinated discipline designs and making sound engineering decisions.
- Strong understanding of project delivery workflows, client expectations, technical documentation, QA/QC, and cross-discipline coordination.
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and GitHub.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is unavailable.
Nice to have
- Experience leading discipline portions of mid- to large-size projects and guiding Designers or engineers.
- RCDD or CDT certification.
- CCNA, EIT, PE, or PMP certification.
