What you will do

• Lead telecommunications design packages from concept through construction administration for complex building and infrastructure projects.
• Engineer OSP routing, backbone distribution, telecommunications room layouts, rack elevations, pathways, wired and wireless device layouts, cable schedules, and construction specifications.
• Integrate paging, intercom, audio-visual, and network control topologies into facility models.
• Develop coordinated 3D BIM deliverables using Revit MEP and AutoCAD, coordinating with architecture, MEP, and structural leads.
• Work directly with client technical representatives to define system requirements, functional parameters, and milestones.
• Prepare estimates, schedules, and technical documentation while mentoring junior designers, drafters, and support staff.

Requirements

• Two-year technical degree or four-year degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• At least 4 years of progressive professional experience in telecommunications design and construction engineering.
• Strong working knowledge and application of TIA/EIA standards and BICSI design practices.
• Solid knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) electrical and telecommunications requirements.
• Demonstrated experience leading telecommunications scopes on active design projects.
• Experience preparing project schedules, engineering estimates, and construction specifications.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of telecommunications design experience in mission-critical or advanced technology environments, such as semiconductor fabrication facilities, data centers, or pharmaceuticals.
• Active BICSI or equivalent certifications, including RCDD, DCDC, OSP, or RTPM.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D BIM coordination using Autodesk Revit MEP.
