Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Contribute to the architecture and operation of a multi-cloud platform infrastructure using Kubernetes, GitOps, and infrastructure as code.
• Develop and operate shared data platform services, including Golang operators, Kafka, Neo4j, and related infrastructure.
• Manage production workloads across AWS and GCP, supporting scalable and self-service capabilities for engineering and analytics teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot distributed cloud infrastructure, and implement security and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with product engineering, security, and SRE teams to drive adoption of secure and resilient platform practices.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, reduce complexity, and improve infrastructure operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, SRE, or software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Production experience designing, building, and managing Kubernetes environments at the scale of tens to hundreds of clusters.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms, containerized production workloads, and Kubernetes cluster operations.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform, and proficiency in Golang for controller and automation development.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, communication, and independent delivery skills.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• CKA or CKAD certification, Istio, ArgoCD, Linux, networking, and advanced Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Honeycomb.
• Experience creating Golang controllers and automation patterns for managing Kubernetes resources.
