Security Control Assessor (SCA) II (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Arlington, Virginia, United States. U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required; the role requires the ability to attain TS/SCI with a CI polygraph.

Salary: $142,792–$181,010 annually.

What you will do

• Assess management, operational, and technical security controls using RMF and JSIG methodologies.
• Evaluate authorization packages, security documentation, threats, vulnerabilities, and proposed authorization-boundary changes.
• Prepare Security Assessment Reports and initiate POA&Ms for identified weaknesses.
• Advise system owners, security officers, and authorizing officials on assessment and authorization issues.
• Evaluate continuous monitoring, SDLC activities, hardware and software security impacts, and sanitization procedures.
• Support compliance inspections and cybersecurity incident response while representing the customer on inspection teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of related experience, including at least 4 years in SAP, SCI, or Collateral information systems security.
• Prior experience as an ISSO, ISSM, or SCA.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• U.S. citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required; ability to attain TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• IAT Level III certification within 6 months of hire, such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, or CISA.
• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and travel 10–25%.
