What you will do
- Design and implement release engineering strategies across development, staging, and production environments.
- Develop CI/CD workflows with versioning conventions, release gates, approval paths, artifact management, and deployment promotion.
- Integrate unit, integration, regression, security, and other automated testing into delivery pipelines.
- Establish practical quality gates and release-readiness standards across engineering teams.
- Maintain release traceability, including deployed versions, changes, validation results, and audit records.
- Build and validate safe deployment and rollback procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, plus at least 8 years of relevant experience; equivalent education and experience may apply.
- Production experience building, operating, or improving CI/CD pipelines and release engineering practices.
- Experience with versioning, artifact management, environment promotion, release approvals, rollback planning, and automated testing.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong software quality, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting AI-enabled or data-intensive software systems.
- Background in defense, aerospace, or another regulated environment.
- Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with containerized delivery, registries, and orchestration platforms.
- Experience maturing release engineering and quality practices across multiple teams.
