Senior Business/Functional Analyst (JIRA)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 annually

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, validation, and documentation of business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business users, customers, product owners, IT teams, systems engineers, leadership, and contractors.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, requirements changes, and defects in JIRA.
• Facilitate user interviews, backlog refinement, Agile requirements sessions, process modeling, and requirements decomposition.
• Track traceability across requirements, test cases, risks, impediments, and project artifacts.
• Report Agile program and product metrics, manage risks and issues, support change control, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to work from within the United States are required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• Ten years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong background in software development, Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced Microsoft Office, including Excel, plus experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• Excellent analytical, communication, research, problem-solving, customer service, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or a federal health agency such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Knowledge of healthcare billing and claims processing applications.
