Network Technician

Location: Onsite in Greenville, North Carolina, United States; overtime and weekend work required.

What you will do

• Support and maintain switching equipment in physical central offices.
• Install, support, and maintain fiber and copper networks, transport networks, and central power platforms.
• Maintain backup generators and ensure reliable central-office power.
• Install and support special circuits while working with the TIRKS system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot switch alarm activity.
• Work with customers and peers to resolve infrastructure issues and promote available services.

Requirements

• Experience working with telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling practices.
• Ability to work onsite, including overtime and weekends.
• Ability to independently drive technical issues through resolution.
• Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
