Senior Software Engineer (Observability and Cloud Infrastructure)

Location: Remote role associated with Burlingame, California, United States

Salary: $155,000–$215,000 per year, plus potential equity

What you will do

• Design and develop highly available services and infrastructure across multiple geographic regions and multi-cloud environments.
• Build, maintain, and operate SaaS, BYOC, and on-premise product offerings.
• Maintain infrastructure as code for Kubernetes deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, on-call rotations, testing, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and own products and features through their full lifecycle.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience in software development, architecture, cloud technology, networking, and modern application design.
• Experience building large-scale, API-first production web services with Java required.
• Production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Self-drive and readiness to work in a fast-paced, demanding startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle Cloud, GovCloud, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with the BYOC deployment model.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
