Senior Application Programmer / Java Developer (Java)

Location: Remote, limited to US citizens. Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Public Trust clearance is required. Travel: 0–20%.

Salary: $130,000–$166,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, and modern web technologies.
• Analyze, debug, test, and improve application code, including remediating SonarQube findings and writing unit tests.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using Jenkins or CloudBees, Git, and related automation tools.
• Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, AWS services, and cloud-based deployments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and periodically provide Help Desk troubleshooting and end-user support.

Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 10+ years of application or Java development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, MVC, and JDBC experience.
• Experience with React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSON, Node, Struts, Maven, and JQuery.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, SQL optimization, AWS, CI/CD, Git, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, messaging or streaming technologies, monitoring tools, and Windows/Linux environments.

Nice to have

• Current DHS Public Trust Suitability.
• Experience with Palantir is not required; training and certification are provided.
