Mechanical Engineer - Datacenter (Macrohard/Colossus)

Location: Onsite in Memphis, Tennessee; the position is based in Memphis, TN.

What you will do

• Own fluid and HVAC components across data center builds, including chillers, pumps, dry coolers, heat exchangers, valves, and water storage systems.
• Create CAD models and coordinate three-dimensional designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Perform fluid analyses for pressure balance, component allowable limits, and consumables requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, construction, architects, engineering teams, and internal customers to select and procure equipment.
• Design systems for manufacturability and reliability and support the transition to production.
• Test and improve data center systems and support elements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of professional experience with fluid components such as valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, pressure transducers, or temperature sensors.
• Experience with fluid handling systems, HVAC systems, and air ducting.
• Experience with data acquisition equipment, test instrumentation, and control components.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across engineering, construction, procurement, and manufacturing.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering licensure or a PE License.
• Consulting experience in the data center market, preferably with AI-specific experience.
• Experience with Revit and parametric design tools.
• 10+ years of relevant fluids-component experience and a track record of management and leadership for senior-level consideration.
