What you will do

  • Set the vision, standards, and priorities for mechanical engineering services across mission-critical projects.
  • Manage mechanical engineering teams, project managers, and designers while overseeing delivery, budgets, timelines, and performance.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, documentation, and QA/QC processes.
  • Oversee HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, fire protection, boilers, CRAC/CRAH systems, and mechanical controls.
  • Collaborate with internal disciplines, contractors, facility owners, and clients as the executive-level mechanical scope representative.
  • Mentor engineers and designers, support recruitment and development, and promote resilient, sustainable, and digitally enabled engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including mission-critical, data center, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for teams, budgets, and strategic operations.
  • Strong experience reviewing and stamping mechanical designs; a Professional Engineer license is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, local regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
