What you will do

  • Set the vision, standards, and priorities for mechanical engineering services across mission-critical projects.
  • Lead engineering teams, project managers, and designers delivering safe, reliable, and efficient mechanical systems.
  • Review and approve mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and QA/QC processes for HVAC, chilled water, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical controls.
  • Establish design standards, documentation protocols, and code-compliant engineering frameworks.
  • Serve as the executive-level contact for mechanical scope and collaborate with clients, contractors, facility owners, and internal disciplines.
  • Track performance, mentor engineers and designers, and drive resilient, sustainable solutions and emerging digital engineering tools.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, including significant work on data centers, mission-critical environments, or large-scale infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role with responsibility for teams, budgets, and strategic operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in HVAC, chilled water, CRAC/CRAH systems, boilers, piping, fire protection, and mechanical controls.
  • Experience reviewing and stamping mechanical designs, managing multidisciplinary projects, and applying ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and related codes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical design software; a PE license is strongly preferred.
