Maintenance Technician

TL;DR

Maintenance Technician (Building Systems): Maintaining commercial building systems and completing minor repairs across mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and facility areas with an accent on safety compliance, equipment inspections, and tenant support. What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in restrooms, mechanical spaces, offices, and other building areas.
• Replace lamps, air filters, ceiling tiles, fire extinguishers, door hardware, and other facility components.
• Support HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general building maintenance activities under engineering supervision.
• Inspect and clean engineering areas, remove debris, maintain floors and furniture, and complete basic painting tasks.
• Communicate with tenants, vendors, contractors, client employees, engineers, and leadership while providing maintenance updates.
• Follow OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA requirements, use PPE, report hazards, and participate in safety audits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical or vocational training and/or 1–2 years of on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, or plumbing.
• Basic knowledge of work-order and facility-operation applications, laptops, phones, and Microsoft Outlook.
• Required engineering and trade licenses according to applicable local, state, or national requirements.
• Ability to read and write English to understand manuals and procedures and prepare reports.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies; stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
