TL;DR
Data Center Infrastructure Engineer (Physical Infrastructure/DCIM): Designing, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing physical and logical data center infrastructure with an accent on reliability, availability, security, and capacity management. Focus on monitoring power and cooling systems, performing rack-and-stack and cabling work, troubleshooting connectivity, and coordinating hardware installations and vendor support.
Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas, United States; willingness to travel and work day, night, and weekend shifts is required.
Salary: $40–$47 per hour on W-2, approximately $6,400–$7,520 per month based on 160 hours.

What you will do
- Monitor servers, network equipment, power, cooling, space, and capacity thresholds using DCIM tools.
- Support application and infrastructure rollouts requiring physical data center changes.
- Perform rack and stack activities, cable management, labeling, hardware replacements, and server maintenance.
- Coordinate with network teams to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Work with third-party vendors on RMAs, installations, and infrastructure support.
- Create and maintain data center elevations using Sunbird DCIM tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience and training.
- At least 3 years of hands-on IT experience supporting and resolving data center issues.
- Experience with physical infrastructure, DCIM tools, server installation and troubleshooting, rack and stack procedures, and fiber and copper cabling.
- Knowledge of UPS, PDUs, and CRAC units.
- Willingness to travel and work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related technical discipline.
- Five years of experience working with external vendors, negotiating services, and monitoring service delivery.
- Airline industry experience and familiarity with related business processes and technology.
- Experience with UPS and PDU systems.
