Transmission Coordinator

Location: Full-time on-site at the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey worksite. Overnight shift within a 24/7/365 operation, with flexibility for varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Salary: USD 74,800–84,240 per year.

What you will do

• Route, monitor, and perform quality control for incoming and outgoing feeds and streams supporting news, entertainment, and sports programming.
• Coordinate signal delivery with control rooms, field crews, remote studios, assignment desks, bureaus, partners, and affiliates.
• Operate LiveU bonded cellular, satellite, terrestrial vendor, and IP-based transmission systems to optimize signal quality.
• Troubleshoot audio, video, data, equipment, and transmission issues with engineering and incident management teams.
• Book and schedule remote facilities and transmission resources under tight deadlines.
• Maintain operational awareness, accuracy, and clear communication during live and breaking-news coverage.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in live-to-air television operations, preferably in a TOC/NOC environment.
• Hands-on experience with LiveU systems, satellite receivers and antennas, IP/ASI encoders and decoders, and video plant router control panels.
• Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under strict deadlines in a high-pressure live environment.
• Availability for overnight, rotating, weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
