Location: New York, NY or anywhere in the USA; onsite work is required when dictated by client projects, including travel to client sites.
Salary: $80,000β$400,000 per year.

What you will do
- Lead broadcast and media infrastructure projects by defining requirements, budgets, timelines, and delivery goals with clients and internal teams.
- Design and implement broadcast technology solutions for new facility builds and upgrades.
- Create system schematics, functional descriptions, rack elevations, wiring diagrams, bills of materials, and as-built drawings.
- Configure, test, and commission broadcast and IT subsystems, including storage, compute, and network infrastructure.
- Act as a technical expert and escalation point, guiding clients through scope changes and system optimization.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP, construction, and cross-functional teams; provide project updates, support resource planning, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience leading media and entertainment technical systems in client-facing engineering, consulting, presales, or managed-services roles.
- Experience with a broadcast media company or systems integrator as an engineer in charge, lead engineer, or design engineer.
- Deep knowledge of HD, UHD, HDR, SDI, NDI, and SMPTE 2110, plus professional broadcast and AV technology integration.
- Strong broadcast networking expertise, including spine-leaf and hybrid designs, routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, DNS, and ACLs.
- Hands-on experience with vendors and platforms such as Cisco, Evertz, Arista, Ross, EVS, VizRT, Harmonic, Chyron, Crispin, and Telestream.
- Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings, manage projects from presales through commissioning, troubleshoot complex systems, and work with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Nice to have
- Experience with live production, studio production, news, playout, distribution, OTT, VOD, and other operational workflows.
- Understanding of the ATSC 3.0 transmission standard.
- Exposure to IABM, NAB, SMPTE, SVG, or SBE broadcast associations.
