Director, Enterprise Data Platforms (AI)

Location: Warsaw, Poland. The role includes 10–15% travel, including occasional international travel.

Salary: 347,800.00 EUR – 434,800.00 PLN.

What you will do

• Define and execute the multi-year strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmap for enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Lead platform engineering, infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, reliability, disaster recovery, and production support.
• Enable AI, GenAI, conversational BI, RAG, responsible AI, and advanced analytics as secure, reusable enterprise capabilities.
• Own FinOps, capacity planning, budget governance, cost transparency, and cost optimization across the platform ecosystem.
• Establish validated-platform practices for GxP use cases and ensure compliance with SOX, privacy, data-residency, and audit requirements.
• Build and lead a global Data Platform Center of Excellence and define collaboration with federated data-product teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data platforms, data engineering, or enterprise data architecture, including 5+ years leading teams and managers.
• Expertise with Databricks, Azure data services, and enterprise-scale medallion lakehouse architecture.
• Strong Azure and AWS cloud architecture experience, including infrastructure as code, automation, and multi-region deployments.
• Experience with AI and GenAI platforms, semantic layers, MLOps/LLMOps, model serving, RAG, vector search, and agentic applications.
• Experience with cloud FinOps, data governance, cataloging, MDM, enterprise integration, RPA, and workload cost management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; experience in regulated industries is required or strongly relevant.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Life sciences or pharmaceutical industry experience, including GxP validation and data privacy requirements.
