Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist (Youngstown, OH)

Location: Field based in Youngstown, Ohio, through Erie, Pennsylvania, with travel of up to 70%

Base salary: $165,000–$195,000 USD annually, plus discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy for the launch and adoption of an innovative mental health therapy.
• Build strategic relationships with psychiatrists, healthcare providers, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and other stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate and compliant product and disease-state education.
• Support certified treatment sites with onboarding, readiness, workflow optimization, patient selection, and referral pathways.
• Help providers navigate reimbursement, patient access challenges, scheduling, patient flow, and site-of-care operations.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations while sharing field insights and managing territory performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or working in pre-launch environments.
• Strong clinical acumen and the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Experience building trust-based relationships with healthcare providers, managing territories, and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Applicants must have employment rights in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets.
• Knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement, buy-and-bill, site-of-care dynamics, prior authorization, and payer processes.
• Experience with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, academic medical centers, site certification, specialized administration, or coordinated care models.
