Location: Portland, Maine territory; candidates must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries and have access to a major airport. Territory boundaries include Presque Isle, Old Orchard Beach, Farmington, and Calais. The role requires 30%–40% domestic travel within the United States.
Salary: $120,000–$140,000 annually, plus eligibility for a $40,500 sales incentive target.

What you will do
- Promote the psychiatry portfolio and execute sales and marketing strategies across the assigned territory.
- Build account plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust sales tactics using digital tools and data insights.
- Deliver clear product messages, identify customer needs, handle objections, and secure commitments to action.
- Develop productive relationships with healthcare customers and internal stakeholders through total-office account management.
- Analyze local market trends, account linkages, therapeutic opportunities, and payer access dynamics across IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
- Apply pharmaceutical and regulatory knowledge while following company policies and FDA requirements for promoting medical products.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device, or related healthcare sales experience.
- Ability to complete disease and product training exams successfully and maintain annual product certification.
- Strong communication skills, self-direction, work ethic, computer literacy, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Must live within 40 miles of the assigned territory boundaries.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing and ability to meet healthcare provider credentialing requirements are required.
Nice to have
- Specialty product sales experience and previous promotion of CNS or neuroscience products for depression, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder.
- Documented successful sales performance and experience developing integrated account plans.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using sales reporting tools to identify trends.
- Experience with product launches, alliance partners, or co-promotions.
- Leadership experience through committees, job rotations, panels, or related activities.
