Physician, Endocrinologist (Obesity Medicine)

Location: Remote telemedicine role for physicians based in the United States; active licensure in any US state is required, with New York, Virginia, or Massachusetts preferred. Multi-state practice capability and an IMLC Letter of Qualification or eligibility to obtain one are required.

Salary: $168,000–$207,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Provide direct telemedicine care for obesity and comprehensive diabetes management, including insulin titration, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors.
• Manage complex endocrinology cases involving CKD, ESRD, and cardiovascular conditions.
• Collaborate with and supervise Endocrine-Specialized APPs and Registered Dietitians.
• Review APP patient charts and conduct periodic visits to ensure quality, continuity, and appropriate treatment.
• Prescribe non-controlled obesity and diabetes medications and develop advanced treatment plans.
• Participate in case reviews, after-hours clinical leadership coverage, mentorship, documentation standards, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Board certification in Endocrinology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• Active and unrestricted medical license in a US state; New York, Virginia, or Massachusetts licensure is preferred.
• Ability to practice across multiple states and hold, or rapidly obtain, an IMLC Letter of Qualification.
• Expertise in obesity medicine, comprehensive diabetes management, complex insulin regimens, CGMs, and insulin pumps.
• Competency in managing CKD, ESRD, and CAD or other cardiovascular conditions.
• Experience collaborating with or mentoring APPs, medical residents, or clinical trainees, along with strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• American Board of Obesity Medicine certification or at least three years of obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy experience.
• Medical fluency in Spanish.
