Medical Science Liaison / Senior Medical Science Liaison (Oncology)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA; field-based role eligible for hire in select U.S. locations

Salary: USD 205,000–235,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the primary medical contact for the assigned geographic territory and build long-term relationships with oncology key opinion leaders and healthcare practitioners.
• Conduct accurate, compliant scientific and clinical exchange about the client’s oncology pipeline, standards of care, and treatment approaches.
• Develop KOL engagement, territory, account, and institution profiling plans focused on prostate cancer and other solid tumors.
• Support clinical trials, investigator-sponsored trial proposals, clinical program requests, advisory boards, congresses, and medical meeting activities.
• Provide internal teams with medical insights, clinical input, scientific training, and feedback from external engagements.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D and commercial colleagues while following applicable legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

Requirements

• Advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, MSN, or NP/PA.
• MSL track: at least 2 years of MSL experience, including at least 1 year in oncology or immunology; Senior MSL track: at least 5 years of pharmaceutical experience and 3 years in rare disease, oncology, or immunology.
• Genitourinary oncology experience, product launch experience, and knowledge of prostate cancer standards of care.
• Ability to interpret and present complex scientific, clinical, value, and evidence data to KOLs, payers, and formulary committees.
• Knowledge of clinical protocols, trial outcomes, NCCN Guidelines, NCI Cooperative Groups, and oncology research consortiums.
• Must be eligible for hire in the United States; this role is available only in select U.S. locations.

• Working knowledge of viral immunotherapy and gene therapy.
• Experience sharing scientific content with payer systems.
• Established knowledge of institutions and clinics within the assigned geography.
