Customs Manager (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in San Diego, California, United States, with remote work available up to two days per week. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Salary: $110,250–$165,375 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and govern hirify.global’s global customs strategy, with a strong focus on U.S. customs compliance.
• Monitor customs laws and regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
• Advise leaders and stakeholders on customs implications for business decisions and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with finance, legal, compliance, and other functions to provide integrated customs guidance.
• Maintain customs control frameworks, manage risk, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Represent hirify.global in customs authority interactions, including audits, rulings, agreements, and regulatory discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, international trade, supply chain management, law, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in customs compliance, international trade, or related regulatory disciplines.
• Experience managing customs compliance programs within the United States.
• Experience leading customs initiatives in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, evaluate risk, communicate clearly, and drive compliance across multiple functions.
• Legal authorization to access controlled technology under applicable U.S. export regulations is required before starting work.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Licensed Customs Broker certification.
• Experience in the semiconductor, technology, manufacturing, or machinery industries.
