Freight Carrier Manager (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Manage performance and service-level delivery of contracted freight forwarders and other carriers.
• Act as the interface between carriers, internal stakeholders, and management, including serving as a second-line escalation point.
• Identify root causes, define carrier development opportunities, and steer improvement road maps with 3PL partners.
• Lead internal end-to-end on-time delivery improvement initiatives and manage one core carrier.
• Optimize capacity utilization agreements and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business management, engineering, or a related transportation field.
• At least 5 years of experience in 3PL, airline, freight forwarding, or another transportation industry.
• Experience working in a large international company and familiarity with complex processes in matrix organizations.
• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and perform under pressure and challenging timelines.
