Internal Communications Director

Location: Remote within the United States.

Salary: $242K–$285K base compensation, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Define and execute the internal communications strategy, infrastructure, channels, cadences, and best practices.
• Own company-wide moments such as all-hands meetings, major announcements, and organization-wide notifications.
• Translate complex, sensitive, and high-stakes topics into clear, effective messaging.
• Advise the C-team and Leadership Team on communication strategy, timing, and messaging.
• Partner with People, Marketing, and External Communications to align internal and external narratives.
• Measure communication effectiveness and evolve the strategy, formats, and tools as the organization grows.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience building and running internal communications strategies, ideally in a high-growth company.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex or sensitive topics clearly.
• Experience partnering with People or HR teams on sensitive organizational communications.
• Ability to set strategy while also executing communications, including writing messages, running all-hands meetings, and editing presentations.
• Experience influencing and advising C-team and Leadership Team stakeholders.
• Curiosity and sound judgment in using AI responsibly to improve communication efficiency and impact.
