Internal Communications & Events Lead (AI)

Location: London, UK; hybrid work with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Advise executives on leadership updates, board communications, sensitive messaging, and change management.
• Design and launch internal engagement initiatives and culture campaigns that reinforce company values.
• Own the strategy, narrative, and delivery of major organisational announcements, global Town Halls, and annual offsites.
• Develop and modernise internal communication channels, including Slack, microsites, newsletters, and company meetings.
• Measure engagement, sentiment, and campaign performance through communications analytics and dashboards.
• Manage, coach, and mentor the Internal Comms & Events Specialist.

Requirements

• Deep experience advising leadership and executives with strong judgement in high-stakes communications.
• Exceptional written communication skills and experience translating complex scientific or technical topics into clear narratives.
• Extensive experience leading high-profile internal events, Town Halls, or large-scale company offsites from concept through evaluation.
• Experience building engagement metrics dashboards and executing multi-channel communications strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, coach, and develop junior team members while remaining hands-on.
• Ability to work from the London office 3 days per week.

• Experience in technology, AI, biotech, life sciences, or a complex matrixed organisation.
