TL;DR
Data Engineer (Python/SQL): Designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms with an accent on ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and governance. Focus on modelling schemas, creating analytics datasets, and delivering reliable enterprise data solutions within a secure Agile environment.
Location: Hybrid in Reading, UK, with three days per week onsite. SC clearance is required.
Salary: £400–£700, inside IR35, dependent on experience.

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and support enterprise data pipelines and integration solutions across multiple data sources.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
- Support cloud-based data platforms and improve enterprise data capabilities.
- Assist with data modelling, schema design, and the creation of analytics and reporting datasets.
- Work within a collaborative Agile team to deliver secure and scalable data engineering solutions.
Requirements
- SC clearance is required.
- Availability to work from Reading three days per week.
- At least four years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics, or a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data lifecycle management, and relational databases.
- Professional experience with SQL and Python.
