Data Engineer (Azure): Building robust ETL pipelines, data lake datasets, and programmatic data access to support machine learning solutions for predictive vacuum asset performance with an accent on pipeline reliability, data quality, and cloud data platforms. Focus on optimizing business-critical pipelines, automating monitoring and preprocessing, and integrating data solutions across technical and non-technical teams.
Location: Hybrid or fully remote within the United Kingdom, with some travel required to the Global Technology Centre in Burgess Hill.

What you will do
- Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines and well-structured datasets in a data lake.
- Monitor pipeline reliability and automate issue reporting.
- Enable programmatic data access for data scientists and analytics teams.
- Optimize business-critical pipelines and define and track performance metrics.
- Define data-linkage and quality-check requirements for automated preprocessing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders through design discussions, code reviews, and clear communication of findings.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining ETL and data pipelines.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Databricks.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical teams.
