Location: Based in Fareham, Farnborough, or Heywood House in the United Kingdom; occasional overseas travel and travel to other UK offices required.

What you will do
- Develop, implement, and oversee cyber security policies aligned with defence and government standards.
- Lead threat intelligence, risk assessments, threat modelling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Drive compliance with DefStan 05-138, ISO 27001, NIST, MOD JSPs, ITAR, and GDPR requirements.
- Strengthen cyber security within supplier assurance, selection, supply chains, network architecture, encryption, and identity and access management.
- Direct cyber security audits and penetration testing across defence platforms and supply chains.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and programme teams to embed security and DevSecOps into defence projects.
Requirements
- Extensive cyber security management experience in defence, aerospace, or government environments.
- Strong knowledge of classified information handling, secure communications, intrusion detection, SIEM, and advanced threat intelligence.
- Proven experience leading incident response in high-security environments.
- Leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to operate effectively under pressure.
- Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent defence and security qualifications.
- SC-level National Security Vetting clearance is required, or eligibility to obtain it.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CEH.
- Experience with secure cloud environments including Azure Government or AWS GovCloud.
- Knowledge of cyber warfare tactics, countermeasures, and work with national security agencies or defence contractors.
