Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Produce security architecture designs for internal systems and customer solutions aligned with the overarching architecture framework.
• Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments to identify and manage security risks in applications, platforms, and services.
• Create security assurance documentation to support internal governance, customer assurance, and formal accreditation.
• Collaborate with Technical and Enterprise Architects to ensure solutions are secure by default and proportionate to risk.
• Advise delivery teams on emerging threats (CVEs) and provide hands-on remediation guidance.
• Provide security architecture input for bids, sales activities, and security questionnaires.

Requirements

• Experience as a Security Architect or senior security engineer with strong design experience.
• Practical experience designing and assuring secure systems.
• Strong understanding of security principles, non-functional requirements, and risk management.
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
• Confidence engaging with stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and governance functions.

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated or public-sector environments.
• Familiarity with standards such as ISO 27001, NCSC Cyber Essentials, NIST, or CIS.
