What you will do

• Design and improve detection, decisioning, and response workflows for the Wirespeed Verdict Engine
• Translate threat research into scalable detections, enrichment, and automated triage logic
• Analyze operational data to identify and eliminate false positives and latency issues
• Partner with product, engineering, and security teams to enhance platform capabilities
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced teammates
• Document detection concepts and operating principles to scale team knowledge

Requirements

• Significant experience in threat detection and response, detection engineering, or SOC operations
• Proven ability to scale expert judgment through automation rather than manual work
• Strong investigative skills to turn ambiguous signals into practical detection logic
• Experience building and tuning automations, playbooks, or enrichment pipelines in security tooling
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous technical or operational problem spaces

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume security operations environments
• Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and telemetry enrichment systems
• Ability to write scripts or queries to support investigations and automation
• Experience in security product development or workflow design
• Background in mentoring engineers and setting technical direction
