Cyber Security Ops. Specialist (Cybersecurity): Monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber security incidents across critical infrastructure environments with an accent on SIEM, EDR, NDR, threat hunting, and detection engineering. Focus on leading incident response, integrating threat intelligence, developing detection rules and playbooks, and mentoring security analysts.

Location: On-site near Reading, United Kingdom, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. DV Security Clearance is required, and candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 10 years to obtain clearance.

What you will do

• Monitor, analyse, and respond to security alerts and events across SIEM, EDR, NDR, and other monitoring platforms.
• Lead cyber security incident response when required and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct threat hunting to identify emerging threats, suspicious behaviour, and security weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security use cases, detection rules, playbooks, and operational procedures.
• Translate threat intelligence, indicators, and adversary behaviours into monitoring and response actions.
• Mentor analysts, act as an escalation point, and promote best practices across Security Operations.

Requirements

• Experience in a Security Operations Centre, cyber defence, or incident response environment.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, including MITRE ATT&CK, threats, attack techniques, and defensive controls.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and email security technologies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance; at least 10 years of UK residence is required.
