Site Safety Health Officer & Quality Control Manager

Location: Onsite in San Diego, California, United States; the position is tied to the El Cajon/San Diego area.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Implement and administer the safety program and government-approved Accident Prevention Plan onsite.
• Communicate and enforce safety policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Conduct audits against company, federal, state, and local safety standards.
• Develop and maintain safety programs, policies, and accident prevention initiatives.
• Coordinate project schedules, delays, change orders, and onsite construction meetings.
• Monitor project progress and act as the coordination point for project participants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a safety professional, preferably in the elevator industry, with a general contractor, or with a major subcontractor; alternatively, 3+ years with a CSP or a bachelor's degree in an EHS discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience preparing and enforcing Quality Management System programs.
• Experience preparing and enforcing workplace safety programs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work onsite in the San Diego, California area.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental Health and Safety discipline.
• OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification or equivalent.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
• Experience in the elevator industry.
