Fruit And Vegetable Operations Lead (Supply Chain)

Location: Based in the Netherlands, with willingness to travel within the Netherlands and occasionally to France and Germany.

What you will do

• Monitor supplier and product quality performance, providing feedback and corrective guidance.
• Conduct inspections covering freshness, quality, specifications, and compliance.
• Develop and implement produce quality-control processes across warehouses and fulfilment centres.
• Define product specifications, inspection criteria, and quality-assurance standards.
• Train and lead quality team members on produce handling, storage, and control procedures.
• Partner with suppliers, buying, category management, and customer service to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in grocery or retail, with strong fruit and vegetable knowledge.
• Strong understanding of produce quality standards, grading systems, and industry best practices.
• Experience designing and executing quality strategies across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent English required; Dutch fluency is preferred.
