International Trade Administration Team Leader

What you will do

• Lead and coach the Trade & Documentation team of six people, run team routines, and support performance evaluations.
• Ensure complete and timely shipment documentation for road, sea, and air flows, including customer- and country-specific requirements.
• Supervise customs administration and reporting, maintain licenses and authorizations, and act as a key contact for customs authorities.
• Oversee sanitary and other regulated certificates, preferential origin checks, commodity code validation, supplier declarations, and sanctioned-goods screening.
• Verify invoicing before month-end and coordinate with accounting, treasury, finance, customers, transport partners, and governmental bodies.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments on automation projects that reduce workload and improve process reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Solid experience in an international logistics or trade environment and strong knowledge of documentation for road, sea, and air shipments.
• Trade compliance experience and team leadership experience are preferred; customs specialization is an asset.
• Structured, accurate, process-minded, resilient, and flexible approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English and at least basic conversational Dutch and French are required.
• Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
