TL;DR
Sales Specialist (Laboratory Products) (Scientific Instruments): Managing and growing Pacific Northwest accounts for Rainin liquid handling instruments, consumables, calibration services, and asset management solutions with an accent on strategic selling, scientific customer relationships, and territory development. Focus on building pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, government, and clinical partnerships, identifying new business, conducting product demonstrations and seminars, and coordinating opportunities through SAP CRM.

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; travel throughout the Washington and Oregon territory is required. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Relocation or housing assistance is not provided.

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year plus commission.

What you will do

  • Manage and grow key accounts across the Pacific Northwest using strategic and value-based selling.
  • Build long-term relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, government, and clinical organizations.
  • Present Rainin instruments, consumables, calibration services, and asset management solutions through demonstrations, seminars, vendor shows, and business reviews.
  • Identify new business through cold calling, prospecting, marketing insights, trade shows, web research, e-commerce, and digital procurement channels.
  • Collaborate with hirify.global business units to share leads and opportunities.
  • Manage leads, accounts, activities, and opportunities in SAP CRM; provide weekly activity summaries and field notes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences.
  • Two or more years of sales experience in scientific instruments or equipment is preferred.
  • Significant experience with ERP or CRM systems; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as engineering, biology, analytical chemistry, or materials science.
  • Laboratory experience with automated analytical instruments and willingness to travel are required or strongly preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting a technical product or prior product management experience.
  • Experience with laboratory sales or another technical discipline.
