Engineering Manager - Mobile (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Base salary: $220,000–$265,000 per year, depending on geographic market, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Build and lead a mobile engineering team by recruiting and hiring at least three engineers across iOS, Android, and cross-platform disciplines.
• Define the technical vision and architecture for employee and 401(k) administrator mobile experiences.
• Guide decisions across Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, and Kotlin Multiplatform while addressing device fragmentation and runtime performance.
• Establish mobile release operations, including store deployments, CI/CD pipelines, staged rollouts, feature flags, and build sign-offs.
• Build automated QA infrastructure, device-farm testing, mobile telemetry, and crash analytics using tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, Braze, Firebase, Sentry, and Datadog.
• Partner with Product, Design, Operations, and backend teams on API contracts, backend-driven UI, security controls, and release schedules.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience leading software engineering teams with a strong focus on mobile application delivery.
• Production experience shipping iOS, Android, React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform applications through multiple store release cycles.
• Deep mobile engineering expertise with Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter, or Kotlin Multiplatform.
• Experience with mobile architecture trade-offs, device farms, automated UI testing, client-side telemetry, API contract design, release operations, and feature flags.
• Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience building inclusive engineering environments.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience managing multi-persona mobile applications for consumers and enterprise administrators.
• Experience in fintech, security-sensitive, or regulated domains.
