Sr Manager, QA Engineering

Location: Virtual, United States

Base salary: $157,410–$169,000 per year, with potential bonus and incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers through clear expectations, feedback, career development, and performance management.
• Own the QA Tools strategy, roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Set technical direction for scalable automation frameworks, CI/CD quality practices, and automated quality gates.
• Guide automation, CI/CD, and AI-enabled engineering initiatives without being the primary hands-on implementer.
• Develop quality metrics and reporting that identify risk, connect quality practices to outcomes, and support data-driven decisions.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and QA leadership to establish standards, build adoption, and drive shared ownership of quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience leading, developing, and empowering Quality Engineering or software engineering teams, including experienced technical contributors.
• Strong foundation in test automation, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, and scalable testing approaches.
• Ability to lead complex cross-team initiatives from strategy through adoption and measurable outcomes.
• Strategic, data-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize, and adapt direction.
• Strong communication and influencing skills for building trusted relationships and buy-in across teams and levels.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare technology or another regulated software environment.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
