Material Handler, GLC (Medtech)

What you will do

• Pick raw materials and production supplies from the warehouse and deliver them to designated production areas.
• Collect materials and empty containers from production areas and transport them to the warehouse or other departments.
• Use ERP and other software systems to update inventory locations and complete daily and weekly tasks.
• Receive inter-plant shipping orders, prepare shipments, and load raw materials and supplies into trailers and box trucks.
• Operate and inspect forklifts, change batteries when required, and secure trailers during loading.
• Report safety, quality, mechanical, and inventory discrepancies while maintaining a clean work area under 6S principles.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; minimum age of 18.
• Basic English written and oral communication skills are required.
• Ability to understand safety and quality instructions, read work instructions and drawings, and perform basic mathematics.
• Previous forklift experience and the ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck Certification.
• Ability to complete Hazmat training if required and use computer systems at a moderate skill level.
• Ability to operate a forklift continuously and lift or carry up to 75 pounds frequently; must pass the Powered Industrial Truck physical.
