What you will do

• Design and produce construction drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform site grading, layout, and stormwater management designs for land development projects.
• Develop storm drainage calculations, detention/retention systems, and erosion control plans.
• Coordinate designs with clients, project managers, and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and permitting packages.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and verify design elements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in civil site development or land development engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in site grading, storm water/drainage, and site layout design.
• Must be based in or able to work in Walkersville, MD.

Nice to have

• EIT or PE license.
• Experience with hydrology modeling software such as Hydraflow, StormCAD, or HEC-RAS.
• Knowledge of sustainable and low-impact site design practices.
