TL;DR

Continuous Improvement Engineer (Manufacturing): Driving measurable and sustainable improvements across a high-mix manufacturing operation with an accent on Lean transformation, process flow, standard work, and operational performance. Focus on facilitating Kaizen events, solving complex production problems, analyzing improvement metrics, and embedding Lean capabilities across cross-functional teams.

Location: Onsite in City of Industry, California, United States

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 USD base salary annually, plus an eligible bonus plan.

What you will do

  • Support the Lean Focus launch, Lean Business System implementation, model-line development, and the continuous improvement roadmap.
  • Lead Kaizen events, rapid improvement workshops, structured problem-solving activities, and waste-elimination initiatives.
  • Engage directly on the manufacturing floor with operations leaders, supervisors, production teams, and associates to identify and implement improvements.
  • Analyze operational data and track results related to safety, quality, delivery, labor efficiency, productivity, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Production Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EH&S on layouts, material flow, process optimization, and new process introductions.
  • Coach teams on Lean thinking, train employees on new standards and tools, and help sustain improvements through visual controls and standard work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work onsite in City of Industry, California, United States.

Nice to have

  • Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting Lean transformations, model-line deployments, Kaizen events, or cross-functional improvement workshops.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
