Machine Operator (Softgel)

Location: Onsite in San Fernando, California, United States. The role is on the Day Shift 4 schedule and does not offer immigration sponsorship or support, including Form I-983 training plans for STEM OPT.

Salary: $45,000–$74,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Operate encapsulation equipment and feed materials according to established procedures.
• Monitor ribbon thickness, temperature, capsule weight, size, and overall production quality.
• Adjust equipment using hand tools and troubleshoot process or mechanical problems.
• Perform product changeovers, including equipment disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and tooling setup.
• Handle, dry, stack, and transport capsules and production materials, including containers weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain accurate production logs, stack cards, and computer records while following safety procedures and good manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or five years of equivalent work experience.
• At least one year of related machine-operation experience, such as encapsulation or injection molding, or four to six months of supervised training in the role.
• Fluent English is required to understand written instructions, maintain records, and communicate issues.
• Accurate arithmetic skills for calculating shell and fill weights and equipment run times.
• Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use hand tools and troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to work onsite in San Fernando, California, stand and walk for most of the shift, and push, pull, or lift materials as required.
