Production Technician II (Medical Devices)

Production Technician II (Medical Devices): Manufacturing and testing diagnostic instruments and test kits in production and clean-room environments with an accent on electrical and mechanical assembly, calibration, and quality compliance. Location: Onsite at the Norwood, Massachusetts facility 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Working hours are 5:30 AM–2:00 PM.

Salary: $24–$27 per hour.

What you will do

• Manufacture test kits and assemble, calibrate, and test electrical and mechanical instrument components.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, routings, bills of material, work orders, and quality procedures.
• Set up and operate automated, filling, labeling, and testing equipment and software.
• Use hand tools, gauges, and production equipment to assemble, troubleshoot, and verify units.
• Prepare products for final quality inspection, document issues, and perform cycle counts.
• Support Service with instrument repairs and Engineering with prototype and experimental builds.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Three to five years of production assembly experience, including instrument or sub-assembly build and testing.
• Experience assembling cables and harnesses, crimping, soldering, and working with electrical and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of GMP, ISO requirements, 5S, ESP activities, and manufacturing health and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP, plus the ability to use tools, gauges, machinery, and technical equipment.
• Ability to work onsite, stand and move for extended periods, perform repetitive physical tasks, use PPE, and lift up to 25–50 pounds as required.
