Senior Commissioning Project Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; travel up to 75%.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact and commissioning authority for assigned projects.
• Lead commissioning strategy for complex, multi-system projects from pursuit through warranty.
• Develop scopes of work, schedules, fee estimates, commissioning plans, test procedures, and project documentation.
• Lead design reviews, OPR workshops, commissioning meetings, site observations, system testing, and issue resolution.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, deliverables, invoicing support, forecasting, resources, contract scope, safety, and quality standards.
• Mentor commissioning staff, support internal training, and lead closeout reports, systems manuals, and warranty walkthroughs.

Requirements

• 12–14 years of progressive experience in commissioning, MEP construction, or project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex commissioning projects and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Advanced understanding of building systems, construction documents, drawings, energy codes, LEED commissioning requirements, and industry standards.
• Strong client-facing communication, relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, financial, and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States and travel up to 75%.

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Professional Engineer license.

• Experience with Building Automation Systems.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety and NFPA 70E certifications.
