TL;DR
Sr. DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps): Build, secure, automate, and operate mission systems across Red Hat Linux, virtualization, containers, and CI/CD environments with an accent on infrastructure reliability, platform automation, and security compliance. Focus on designing hardened pipelines, troubleshooting complex systems across the stack, and supporting scalable classified mission environments.
Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States; US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance, and an active CI polygraph are required.

What you will do
- Modernize and operate infrastructure-dependent mission systems in classified environments.
- Design, maintain, and improve build, integration, testing, deployment, and operational pipelines.
- Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including provisioning, patching, hardening, networking, performance tuning, and security.
- Develop automation and configuration management with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Bash, and Python.
- Support CI/CD and developer platforms, virtualization, Kubernetes, Rancher, containers, storage, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Integrate access management, encryption, vulnerability remediation, configuration control, and secure deployment practices while collaborating with infrastructure, software, cybersecurity, and mission teams.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in Linux administration, DevOps, DevSecOps, infrastructure engineering, or platform operations.
- Strong hands-on Red Hat Linux administration experience, including RHEL provisioning, Kickstart, Satellite, RPM packages, patching, tuning, networking, hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Bash, Python, automation and configuration management tools, CI/CD platforms, Git, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jira, and pipeline automation.
- Experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, Rancher, Kubernetes, containers, or comparable platform technologies.
- US citizenship, an active TS/SCI clearance, and an active CI polygraph are required.
- Security+ or CISSP certification is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with secure software factories, hardened pipelines, mission applications, STIGs, RMF, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.
- Experience with Docker, Podman, Helm, AWS GovCloud, hybrid cloud, Terraform, Packer, or infrastructure as code.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
