DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, United States; hybrid with 2–3 days onsite

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve development, deployment, and operational infrastructure for a microservice-based application platform.
• Develop and operate containerized applications across multiple environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Create and maintain Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps deployments.
• Automate repeatable processes and troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and platform stakeholders to improve reliable and secure software delivery.
• Integrate security practices throughout the software development and delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related role.
• Strong experience with Linux-based development and operational environments, Docker, and containerized application development.
• Experience deploying and operating applications with Kubernetes, including Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD or similar platforms, plus GitOps tools such as Argo CD.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required before starting.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container, dependency, and vulnerability scanning tools and software supply chain security.
• Understanding of networking, TLS, DNS, ingress, service discovery, authentication, authorization, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with observability for logging, metrics, tracing, and application health monitoring.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and modern Agile/DevOps engineering practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, communication, and collaboration skills.
